KC on Francis

How love and affection developed naturally between Sharon's daughter and her Daddy.

WHEN Sharon decided to marry Francis back in 1996, daughter Kristina Cassandra or KC was a major consideration. KC was nine when Francis came into their lives and now, almost 15, she speaks of Francis highly, and with love and affection. Perhaps, it was this wonderful bonding between Francis and KC that made Sharon love him more and made her decide to spend the rest of her life with him. "There are things she'd rather discuss with Francis than with me because sometimes I get so emotional," Sharon says. "And because he's a lawyer, he's quite rational about things and sees all sides. You know, sometimes, she still squeezes in between us just to make kuwento, and because of my tight schedule, they even go out more often than we do!" Here is KC on Francis, in her own words:

"I never lived with my dad, so when daddy (Francis) came into our lives, he's been this constant presence. He's always there for me. He knocks on my door, just to let me know that he's there. I know that I can turn to him anytime I need help. He's introduced me to music not of my generation. He's very supportive of school and my other interests and he encourages me in everything I do. He's exposed me to the normal things that were not 'normal' to me before he came into our lives. We go to the grocery together. He used to help me with homework. He became a friend long before he married mom."
