A SPECIAL MESSAGE FOR THE PEOPLE OF DAGUPAN!!!

30 September 1999

To My Dear Friends in Dagupan,

You guys are something else!   After performing for my friends in the South whom I've always been able to count on, I really didn't know what to expect from you, my concert being my first ever for you over there.  But just like in Cebu and in Bacolod, I and my group were welcomed in Dagupan with the warmest smiles and the kindest words.  Thank you to all of you who patiently waited for our motorcade to pass by where you were, for your "I love yous" and waves and excitement.  Thank you for making my first performance for you so special by going out of your way to watch me and my whole group  at the Astrodome on September 4th.  Thank you to those of you who waited in the hotel lobby, outside of the hotel, outside of the Astrodome before and after the show.  My time with you was short but definitely sweet!  I regret that I had only all of one day to be with you, as other "duties" called  home in Manila.

The five-hour drive going to Dagupan, the motorcade immediately after we entered the town, the radio interviews (this time only over the phone as there was hardly enough time for me to be able to do everything I wanted to do in your city!), the gruelling concert, the cast party right after, and the long drive back to Manila at way past midnight were all worth it!  You are so special and I just will never forget you.  I've performed for many audiences in many cities of the world, but you are among the top of my list when it comes to the best!  Thank you for your love, your welcoming embraces and your great participation in the show. Like my friends in Cebu and Bacolod, you hold a special place in my heart, and  I will not forget how special you made me feel, for the rest of my life!  You know, I got very sick the very next day, and I was so weak that I was rendered useless for a week and more.  But you know what, again, it was worth it.  Fatigue did catch up with me (I have a problem accepting I really am NOT  Supergirl sometimes!), but the whole concert tour was one of my most memorable, and one tour I will re-live in my memory for many years to come.

Thank you again to all of you, dear friends in Dagupan!  You were such a great audience, a great people.  And I will always want to visit you!  See you again someday soon:)

God bless all of you, and I wish you happiness for always!

Lots of love always,
Sharon :)
