25 August 1999 To My Dear Friends in Cebu, I would like to thank you ever so much for your warm and loving welcome when I last visited you from August 19th to the 22nd. I am still overwhelmed by the reception you gave me and my group, and if I loved you before, I certainly love you more now! Thank you, especially, to all of you who went to the Cebu Coliseum on the 21st to watch me, Ciara Sotto (my cousin and special guest) and the MegaBand perform after so many years. I will never forget how very loved I felt that evening, and I am still moved especially by those of you who sang some of my songs with me, not missing a word or a beat, as well as by those of you who held up the pictures I had signed and sent to you after you requested for them at this website. I am still sorting through the letters handed to me onstage, and though I couldn't bring all the flowers home with me to Manila, I hold them in a special place in my heart. I miss Cebu very much (already!), and hope to visit you again someday real soon! Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for one of the most special and memorable nights of my career! God bless all of you and I wish you all only happiness.
