SHARON A BREEZE TO WORK WITH - JIM BRICKMAN
by Mario Bautista., People's Journal, March 12, 2002

HOW did Sharon Cuneta feel when internationally famous pianist-composer Jim Brickman personally chose her to be his very, special guest in his coming two-night show, March 15 and 16 at 8 p.m., at the PICC?

"I was very much honored, of course," says Sharon. "I"ve been a great admirer of his works and doing a concert with him is a dream come true for me." Jim first got to work with Sharon last year when two of his songs were included in Sharon's first album with BMG Records Pilipinas, "All I Ever Want." The two songs are the carrier single, "Where's The Good in Goodbye,' and the duet with Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau, "In Your Eyes."

Jim has nothing but praises about the megastar after they worked together in Hong Kong last year. "Sharon is a very warm spirit with a unique talent, he says."In addition to a glorious voice, she is a great collaborator. She gives so much of herself when you work together and it's a joy working with someone very professional like her."

No doubt "Where"s The Good in Goodbye" helped in making the album achieve gold status in such a short time. The song is about a lost love. "All my songs always focus on love," adds Jim, "The pleasure as well as the pass of being in-love. "Where's the Good in Goodbye" is about losing someone you love and how the thought of living your life without this person will change your world forever."

"I love Jim's song," Sharon says in turn. I'm sure a lot of people who have experienced the highs and lows of love can relate with it and I'll surely sing it in our concert.'

The two night gig is entitled "Jim Brickman: Simple Things Live in Manila, a production of Vis-a-Vis Entertainment in cooperation with JLF Organization. Another guest in the show is Joev Generoso of Side A Band.
