MEGA MOVIE FOR A MEGA ACTRESS

After recently filling up the Hongkong Coliseum, Mega Star Sharon Cuneta has another expected box office hit on the big screen. Her upcoming movie for the Metro Manila Festival this coming June 12 will be alongside Young Superstar Judy Ann Santos and is titled "Magkapatid" under Viva Films.

Aside from that, she will be celebrating her 25th anniversary soon that is why she is going to have a grand celebration on June 15-16 at the Araneta Coliseum.

But before this grand event comes, her first ever entry to a Filmfest is definitely one movie to look forward to. The Mega Star shares her precious moments during the making of this film with the "sister" she found in a Judy Ann Santos.

You really found a sister in Judy Ann right? And you just can't fake this on screen? You cannot. And I've never faked it ever.

But why? How did you begin this bond with Judy Ann?
Hindi ko alam. That's what makes it special. I've made fifty or so movies but this is the few times na actually na-love ko yung katrabaho ko. Feeling ko talaga kapatid ko siya.

What are the factors that made you so relax with Judy Ann?
Kasi I think she's very real. Siguro, whether I admit it or not, I probably see myself in her. She's not aware of how big she is. And she doesn't put on any airs. And she doesn't try to be sweet to me. She just really is. And because of the fact that she loves her mom, she loves her kapatid. And I appreciate this. And actually we have the same likes.

Surprisingly, it's only your mom Elaine Cuneta who is left without a commercial in your family. Oo nga. Actually pati si Kiko. Siya atsaka si Kiko. Kasi si Mommy yung pinaka expensive sa lahat. Yung tatlong maria meron na eh. Nauna pa si Yaya Lurs.

But is it true that you cried during the presscon of the film?
I did. Sabi ko nga kasi for the first time nagkapresscon ako na. Actually I felt bad kasi ibig sabihin tapos na ang shooting. I don't have this to look forward to anymore everyday. Actually Juday is the number one but actually just being on that set with Direk Joel [Lamangan] and Boyet and Dingdong, is something that I will surely miss. Parang God was so good to make everything fall in the right place.

Do you have a favorite scene in the movie?
Marami kasing highlights eh. I'd say mga three or four scenes or even five.

Congratulations by the way. Your album topped the charts in Asia recently.
It's 20 something in HMV in Singapore. Regine was first who opened the door for us.

This is your first ever movie to be included in a Film Festival, right?
This is the first time. And I don't know why. So I'm very excited.

Do you still have anything to wish for in your life now?
Gusto ko kambal. Pwede naman siguro. And sana next year.
