Sharon Cuneta gave birth to an 8-pound 11-ounce, 20-inch girl by Caesarian section at 4:41 am December 16, 2000 at the Makati Medical Center, two weeks ahead of her original schedule of delivery (Dec. 30)

Sharon's baby, her first child by husband Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan, will be named Simone Francesca Emmanuelle, a name the couple chose weeks ago when ultrasound tests confirmed that the baby would be a girl. Sharon's first child (bu ex-husband Gabby Concepcion), Kristina Cassandra (KC), is turning 16.

Sharon suffered two miscarriages, once whe she and Kiko were in Boston for his scholarship at Harvard and then two years ago when they came home.
