SENATOR-ELECT Francisco "Kiko" Pangilinan
and his megastar wife Sharon recently tendered a small victory party
at Cabalen for entertainment reporters to thank them for the support
they gave him in the last elections. There were prizes galore and
other surprises. As they say in show-biz lingo, "walang umuwi
nang luhaan." Letter More importantly, we got to talk with the couple about various things. Kiko expressed his thanks in a letter attached to a gift basket. In parts, it stated: "The past nine months have been a life-changing experience for me and my beloved wife. There is no doubt that the admiration and affection you have for my dearest Sharon gave me more than my fair share of your attention. I make this vow now: I will prove worthy of your trust and your hope. I will work hard to make a difference in the lives of our people, and I will be a good senator. "Now, the real work begins. We cannot do this alone. We need your help. Hence, the call, 'Kumilos kasama si Kiko.' It is our hope that you will work with us for the sake of our country and our children." Victory Asked to comment on her husband’s victory, Sharon said: "My husband has good intentions at ang gusto talaga niya, all eyes would be on him para bantayan siya ng publiko kung tama at makatwiran and kanyang ginagawa. I am always at his side to constantly remind him to make true his promises to the millions of people who voted for him. Ako ang numero uno niyang taga-bantay." We asked Sharon how much liberty she has given her daughter KC in entering show business. KC is shooting a commercial for a garment firm for which she is reportedly being paid a handsome fee. She will also portray the role of Sapphire in the stage musical, "Little Mermaid." "I allowed her to do the commercial because she is now on vacation. I said yes to Trumpets because the company instills professionalism and good discipline. Also, KC loves to sing. She is not keen on acting, and I thank God for that. When classes at International School resume this September, KC has to concentrate on her studies once more."
